My Pink Stamper Design Team

Once again, I am trying to be on the My Pink Stamper Design Team. (See http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ for details.) The challenge this time was to use the colors orange, turquoise, green and brown to make something.

Here is the card that I decided on.

I used my gypsy to connect to my imagine to make this card. That made the tree and leaves easy to fill in - I just printed on white cardstock.

The tree is cut at 3.5 inches from the serenade cartridge.

I also used the Fiskars grass punch.

The You Hoo stamp is from Hero Arts Stamps.

The owl stickers are from EK Success.

Thanks for looking.

Week 4

It is already week four of Card Camp. I actually got around to making a card yesterday so I could participate this week. We were assigned to use the colors above. It is my sister's birthday this week, so I figured - hey why not combine the two assignments! This card is simple, but I did get to use heat embossing on the sentiment - we moved two years ago and I have looked and looked for my heat gun, but haven't been able to find it. I finally broke down last week and used my Michael's coupon to buy a new one.

The stamps are Stampin Up.

Summer Card Camp

I'm taking Summer Card Camp with Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner!

Have you ever had a week where you just don't like anything that you are making? That's how I felt this week. I love this color combination, but just couldn't get going on something I liked. But, nevertheless, I did make a card.

There are three holes punched in the front of the card. I used the Martha Stewart Punch Anywhere on the page punch. I had a hard time getting the circles lined up. Then I used a Stampin Up set for the butterflies.

Happy that I have 50 followers - never thought 50 people would even visit here, much less follow me : )

I'll be thinking of a 50 follower give away that I can do!

In the meantime, here is a new card.

Happy 5th Birthday

My niece's 5th birthday is coming up soon, so I made her a birthday card with one of her favorite things - an octopus! Someone gave her a pink stuffed octopus when she was young, so this was a great cricut image to use from Birthday Bash. I didn't especially like the critter that had the 5 with it - I think it was a fish - a little weird if you ask me. Anyway, I combined the octopus with a party hat with the 5 from the font on that cartridge.

The background stamp is from Lawn Fawn.

Copic Coloring

Here is an attempt at copic coloring on a card. I love the look you can get with copics, but I need lots of practice. This was one of my first attempts. I love the card, but learned some things about coloring as I attempted this card. Looking forward to trying more!

Valentine for Someone Special :)

Here is a new card I made today during my daughter's nap. It seems like that is the only time I have available to make something!
This card was made using the Imagine.

I used the Imagine More cartridge. The background paper was cut at 5 inches - I flood filled the rounded rectangle. Then I took apart one of the images and just used one layer of it for the tag on the card. This was cut at 3 inches. The owl was cut at 2.5 inches. The stamp of the branch is from American Crafts. The letters are thickers.

Also, I'd like to say thank you to all my new followers. Twenty followers may not be a lot to you, but to me - it's fabulous : )

Thanks for stopping by!

New Card Today

Hi, I have a new card for you today. I just won the cartridge Simply Charmed on ebay, so I thought I would make a couple of cards with it. I love this cartridge for fun, happy cards or images for scrapbook pages.
I made this card by cutting the birthday cake at 5 inches. I used the gypsy to weld two birthday cakes together so I could make this a shaped card. I love using the gypsy in order to make shaped cards. Also, I recently learned how to hide contours on images when cutting and I find that to be very helpful : )

Don't forget that if you are making a shaped card, you have to flip one of the images. I forgot that when I was making this card...

Since I forgot to flip one of the presents, the two halves to the card don't fold exactly on top of each other. Oh well, live and learn!

Have a great day : )

My Pink Stamper Challenge

Today I'd like to show you my entry into the My Pink Stamper Design Team Challenge. The Challenge is to use pink, brown, green, and one other color (I chose white).

For this very cute owl, I used the cartridge Hoot N Holler.

The owl is cut at 5 inches, and the other layers are cut accordingly. I used the gypsy in order to weld two owl pieces together so this would be a shaped card.

I cuttlebugged the front layer of the owl with the swiss dots folder for some added texture.

I also cut a heart from the same cartridge at 3.25 inches. I inked this piece and then glued it to the back of the owl.

Thanks for looking!

Have a great day : )

Happy New Year

Here is a Happy New Year card that I made using my Cricut. I used Celebrate with a Flourish and Jillibean Soup Christmas paper.

Hope you all enjoyed a fun celebration last night and have plans for a fabulous new year! We will be celebrating in March with a new baby girl : )
