More Christmas Cards

I got a package in the mail from Elle's Studio with their Christmas Card kit. It is fabulous! The packaging was great and the paper and tags were high qualitiy. Here are some cards I made using the kit. (I added the ribbon.)

New Christmas Cards

Thought I would pop in and post some new Christmas cards. These were inspired by Kristina Werner's series of the 25 days of Christmas. See her website for more information (link to the left).
The top card was inspired by Nichol Magourik's week 4 sketch for Holiday Cards at Two Peas.
As always, thanks for checking out my blog!

Paper is from Sasafrass Lass - Monstrosity Collection. Letters by Heidi Swapp.

Paper is by Stampin Up. Large Butterflies by Stampin Up punch. Small butterflies using Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Wow, What a Week

Wow, it was an extremely stressful day at my school yesterday. I am happy that it is the weekend. I am looking forward to seeing my son's soccer game today.

Here is a project that I made awhile ago. It is a lunchbox made with We R Memory Keepers Papers.
Here is a card that I made this week using Making Memories Just Chillin Glitter Die Cuts. (recently on sale at Two Peas for 50% off : )

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Thankful for a Long Weekend!

So here we are - the official end of summer. I'm thankful for a long weekend that I can spend with my own kids. I think we will find something fun to do before we get into the real job of packing and moving which will hopefully take place in just under 6 weeks. I love the lazy days of summer, but fall is fabulous too - just a LOT busier.

Here are a couple of cards.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Willow Traders Blog Hop Inspiring Me

I am glad to join the Willow Traders Blog Hop again this weekend. It really inspires me to scrap and make things - even with school underway. Hope you enjoy my cards this weekend!
One thing I am struggling with is how best to photograph my cards. I am still working on it!
The above card uses the Martha Stewart craft punch. I got the idea from Renee Lamb's blog - http://reneelamb.wordpress.com/2009/08/21/martha-stewart-corner-loop-punch-tutorial/

A great weekend is coming up!

Well, it looks like we sold our house and have one to buy! We are lucky in this market to have sold our townhouse, and hope everything works out. Cross your fingers for us.

Now, on to the scrappy stuff. Here is a new project for this weekend. A little departure for me, since I usually post cards. I made this 12 x 12 page from the Stampin Up set A Season of Friendship. I plan to frame it and give it to a friend for Christmas.

Thanks for looking!

School Begins on Monday

Well, summer had to come to an end sometime, and I guess this is it. Although I love teaching, I sure like spending extra time with my own kiddos during the summer. August is always a tough time for me getting everybody back on schedule and spending more time on school work and a LOT less time on scrapbooking. I'd sure love to have a job where someone would pay me to make scrapbook things : )
Anyway, on to this past week's creations. Hope you enjoy them!

See ya next week!

Another Weekend!

This weekend, I'd like to feature a couple of cards I made along with what I like to call a "card purse." One of my student's father died last spring and there is a benefit for her family coming up soon. I decided to make something for the silent auction.

I got this idea from Paper Crafts magazine a couple of years ago. I put 10 cards in each card purse. I hope you like them!

Here are a couple of cards that I am putting in the card purses.

Hope you enjoy the weekend! (Also - welcome to the Willow Traders Blog Hoppers!

Happy 4th and Some New Hero Arts Cards

Happy Fourth of July!

Here's a new card that I made - it was inspired by something I saw in the latest issue of Card Creations by Paper Crafts - vol 7.

Also, I have been checking out Jennifer McGuire's blog a lot lately. She is teaching a class on Two Peas called Thinking Inking. I got these ideas from her and from her class.

New Idea for a Project

I was inspired by something I saw in a magazine recently. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I saw it. Anyway, I thought it was a cute idea to slip little notes with pictures and jokes into my son's lunch box.

I made up a few - they are very simple, but he gets a good laugh out of them each day.

This set is available in my etsy store - see link to right!

New Baby, New Year, New Project

Hi everyone!

It's time for a new year. It's been so long since I've posted, but with the earlier than expected birth of our baby Sarah, I've been so tired! She's a cutie, but she sure keeps us up at night. I'm encouraged by last night though - I only got up once and my husband only got up once. So, that's better than the 27 times I feel like we've been getting up per night!

I'm happy that I got one of Becky Higgin's Project 365 kits. I'm sure I'll post some of my photos here, but mostly I will putting them in my kit. It's an exciting idea for a project. I just hope that I can keep up!

In the mean time, here's one of my projects I've worked on lately. I really like the Cricut cartridge with the Disney images. Very cute, but very time consuming!
